WWE Superstar Kevin Owens recently shared his appreciation for the company’s shift in how it treats its fanbase, crediting Triple H for recognizing the intelligence and memory of wrestling fans. Speaking on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, Owens expressed relief that WWE is no longer assuming fans forget key moments in storylines.
“There’s definitely been a shift in mindset from the top,” Owens stated. “Our fans are smart. They watch our product, pay attention, and remember things a lot better than some of the people in charge before thought they would.”
Owens recalled past disagreements with previous management, where he argued that fans would remember events from just a few weeks prior, only to be dismissed. “I was told, ‘No, they won’t remember.’ But I knew they would. It’s insulting their intelligence to assume otherwise.”
According to Owens, Triple H’s leadership has changed that mentality. “He knows fans remember, he applies it, and it makes the product way better in my opinion.”
As a lifelong WWE viewer, Owens personally understands how engaged fans can be. He shared an example from his childhood: “When the Sultan showed up, I knew that was Fatu. I was just a kid, but I remembered. Our fans are smart, and it’s great to see the product leaning into that now.”
Owens is currently preparing for a major showdown against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 next month. With WWE’s storytelling now embracing long-term continuity, this highly anticipated match could carry even deeper layers of history between the two superstars.
